This article comes at the perfect time, as I often find myself caught in that exact mental loop, watching discussions evolve at a speed I simply cannot mater. I'm curious if you see this as more of a design flaw in current social media platforms or an inevitable consequence of how collective discourse scales with an always-on internet.

Thank you so much – I’m glad to hear it!

You make a really good point, and I honestly think it’s a bit of both. The algorithm always tends to serve me posts that will spur an emotional reaction (I have to make an active effort not to get involved sometimes), so I totally understand why so many people feel the need to wade into discussions so quickly.

At the same time, I think a lot of those same people’s points range from disingenuous to totally nonsensical because they rush without thinking, in order to hit that algorithm at the right time. I often feel lost when trying to keep up with the latest hot topic, because valid discourse snowballs out of control way too quickly.
